About School
The iDiscoveri, Xseed Preschool, Sector 46, Gurgaon, is the first Preschool in the country by iDiscoveri Education and Enterprise and has been the model and template for all other similar Preschools in the country .The school was opened by Shalini Gauba, with over 20 years of on hands experience with children education. She is the Honorary Director and Principal and Founder of the school. Mrs Shalini Gauba was bestowed with an Award for the Best Preschool in Gurgaon by Mr Chetan Bhagat for the year 2010.
The school opened on 7-7-07, (07th July 2007) in partnership with iDiscoveri Centre for Education and Enterprise. The school is located in Sector 46 Gurgaon whose adjoining sectors are Sector 15, Sector 31, Sector 45, Sector 47, Sector 48 and Sector 49. It is an English medium co-educational school. The school caters to the needs of the residents of localities like Nirvana, Mayfield Garden, Medicity, South City-I and South City-II, Sushant Lok-I and Sushant Lok-II.
iDiscoveri is a social enterprise with a vision of reviving education in India. Our work in education touches workplaces, schools and lives. By providing an experiential learning environment with equal emphasis on intellectual and emotional growth, we assert that learners will discover their true passion by unleashing their minds.
Founded by alumni of Harvard University, INSEAD, IIT and XLRI, iDiscoveri team includes a family of scholars and practitioners who are drawn from disciplines of cognitive & social psychology, education and management sciences.

Environment
We are a green preschool and the environment is created for and by the child.
The environment at an iDiscoveri Preschool has a busy, productive atmosphere with joy and respect abound. Within such an enriched environment, freedom, responsibility, social and intellectual development spontaneously flourishes.
Additionally, we emphasize on appreciating and protecting the environment through the principles of the 3 R’s, Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. These principles and practices are part of the daily routine of the preschool. The child is central to every activity like planting vegetables, segregating waste and re-cycling bio-degradable waste into manure with the aim of inculcating the habit of protecting our environment.
Infrastructure
The preschool is the first step children take into the outside world therefore great care has been taken to plan the facilities at the iDiscoveri XSEED preschool.
Classrooms
The rooms are bright, safe and child friendly with low level molded furniture and safe materials. The hub of the class room is the different learning corners that focus on individual learners and their strengths.
Art Studio
The art studio is a stimulating place where children develop ideas. The wide range of art, craft and malleable materials allows children to explore and express freely.
Library
A rich environment encouraging children to develop a love for books, imagine and enact characters and stories as well as develop a warm bond with their mentors through story telling sessions.
Music Studio
The music studio is a place that puts a pulse and a beat into children. The exposure to a wide range of songs, rhymes, music genres and instruments enhances all their skills.
Medical
There are regular check ups by a qualified pediatrician to ensure that they are in good physical health according to their specific age groups. The preschool has a tie up with a nearby local hospital. In addition to a well equipped first aid kit, a doctor is always on call to manage emergencies.
Food
The school serves a mid morning snack comprising of fruits, juices, light healthy snack and the mid-day meal needs to be brought by the child. We do not allow consumption of aerated beverages, junk snacks and parents are requested not to send the same.
Play Den
The play den is a place where children play freely without guidance. It has various centers, home and imagination, manipulatives and discovery.
Outdoor Play Area
This area has been created using safe & flexible material. There is a jungle gym, sand pit, flexible splash pool and a bike path.
Garden
The garden is large and thoughtfully done with the purpose of exposing children to a large variety of flora.
Kitchen Garden
There is a patch for children to grow a variety of vegetables and fruit shrubs, encouraging them to observe changing patterns through the year.
Bird Feeding
Children are encouraged to feed birds and create homes for them too.
Vermicompost Pit
A vermicompost pit is installed which encourages children to dispose of bio-degradable garbage in it and learn and experience the principal of re-cycle.
